We are located in Hernesaari, the southernmost point of Helsinki peninsula. We offer different services directly from our spacious harbor, where you may moor your boat conveniently. If your boat has been lifted out of the water, our reliable logistics partners can transport your boat to our reparations site.

Jouko Lindgren Oy is a traditional Finnish boat yard which offers full boat service. Our roots originate in the beginning of 20th century during the era of wooden boats. It was 1917 when Otto-Evert Lindgren expanded from building wooden boats to docking boats for the members of local sailing club, Helsingfors Segelklubb.
In those days, Helsinki was still a small and growing city. Otto-Evert settled his family and business in Kotkasaari, west of Helsinki peninsula. Otto-Evert kept building boats, such as Dragon and Star boats, that were tested frequently in the local sailing competitions. In addition to aesthetics, race performance was always equally important. Successor Rainer Lindgren the son of Otto-Evert, continued the tradition of wooden boat building, docking and racing.
Jouko Lindgren is a third generation to continue with the profession of the family traditions, in docking and boat reparations. As wooden boats were replaced by modern glass fibre boats, old knowledge was refined to harness modern technologies in practice. Jouko started dinghy sailing from a young age. He raced dinghies until Olympic level, where he achieved a bronze medal in 470 class in 1980 Moscow Olympics.
Today Jouko Lindgren Oy’s experienced staff and carefully chosen partners does repairs and services to all sailing yachts and motor yachts regardless of construction material. Although the modern constructions have replaced most of the wooden boats, our core values remain the same. They are experience, know-how and reliability. Naturally following the tradition, the fourth generation of successors, Joonas and Niklas Lindgren, are under mentoring of Jouko to take the boat yard to next decades.
